First things first….let me tell you a little bit about me. I’m a mathematician who has always loved fashion – odd combination I know, but sometimes things come together for a reason…more about that later! I used to be a math teacher until I was given the opportunity to work for the NBA in sports marketing which I absolutely loved for several years. My style was more conservative and business-like back then, until I started working for a broadcast company where I began to become a little more creative with my wardrobe. But it wasn’t until I started working at a fashion publication called FLARE magazine that my love of fashion and most importantly, shoes, re-ignited that spark….I’d like to call it from fractions to fashion!
I started posting my shoe collection on Instagram about 3 years ago (over 350 pairs to date…I know, I know it’s an addiction, don’t judge!) and have been asked by followers to create a blog to share my love of fashion and shoes, provide a sneak peek into the world and industry of fashion through my eyes and provide styling tips and ways to update your wardrobe each season. Sounds fun right? And in case you are wondering about the teaching part, I am currently a college professor in Fashion and Media as well as on the Fashion Group International Board of Directors, involved with Toronto Men’s and Women’s Fashion Week and with the Toronto Fashion Academy, a featured guest Fashion Editor on Vegas2LA Magazine, a guest judge on SuperModel Canada Search competition and have been a Guest Speaker at various events and leadership conferences, with the aim to enlighten, encourage and inspire others along the way.
In addition to being a self-confessed shoe-aholic, I’m told I have the coolest pedis on the block which many of my followers love and I enjoy sharing my own inspiration through fashion, beauty, lifestyle and more so I’m excited to have you join me on this journey!
Just like some need their daily caffeine fix….consider this your daily fashion fix 😉
